As a result of their great crop experience the varietals Red, Yellow catuai and Icatú, Mundo novo, Acau and Caturra developed in an exceptional way in their region. These are the varietals that they produce and achieve the best results. Being plague resistant, having uniform maturation and the plants also respond well to treatments and the environment. After development of the baby trees, they reach the first blossom, and crop management is then most important. They then treat the fields and properly and watch closely to avoid any unwanted results.

The next step for Barbosa is the processing, this is where technology and tradition unites. A series of experiments are made on the crops when it's processed. They mainly work with natural and pulped natural processes. They run tests and experiments on Honey, which is an innovation adopted on their most recent harvest.

We do direct-trade with Danilo Barbosa from farmer to cup, this means full sustainability can be reached and all individuals involved are paid multiple times the living wage in their country. We love their lots and have cupped several to choose which ones to take forward to use in our blends and also to be able to deliver a delicious Cachoeira single origin, in which we bought the entire fermented microlot.
